Career Development Coordinator
Sheena’s interest and passion for working with individuals with disabilities started when she graduated from High School. She knew that she wanted to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities but didn’t know how. So in 2004 she attended the Disabilities Studies program at Grant MacEwan. She volunteered at Little Bits Riding Centre for several years. In 2007 she started working as a Community Support Practitioner and enjoyed assisting the individuals she worked with to gain independence. Sheena is strong advocate for individuals with disabilities and works diligently to help them achieve their goals.
When Sheena is not working she spends her time caring for and loving her beautiful little girl. Sheena says “She is three and she is so amazing. We always have awesome adventures.” Sheena also enjoys spending time with family and friends. Sheena describes herself as a major nature nut and spends most of her time outdoors and in nature. She also finds joy in painting, exercising, swimming and dancing. In Sheena’s own words “For as long as I can remember I have had a strong desire to travel and experience different cultures. I do my best to focus on the positive and embrace life.”firstname.lastname@example.org 780-461-5270
